- Do not share sensitive personal information too quickly, including your home address, government ID, bank details, passwords, private schedules, or family information.
- Be careful with links, payment requests, investment pitches, job offers, or urgent stories asking for money.
- Use CampusDrop chat until you feel comfortable sharing another contact method.
3. Dating and connection safety
- Set expectations clearly and respect the other person's boundaries.
- Avoid private or isolated first meetings.
- You never owe anyone a date, reply, explanation, photo, or second meeting.
4. Roommate safety
- Verify rent, deposits, move-in dates, rules, address details, and the identity of the person offering a room.
- Do not send money or deposits until you have verified the listing and are comfortable with the arrangement.
- Visit with a friend or meet in a public place before committing where possible.
5. Reporting, blocking, and emergencies
Use block or report tools where available, or contact support if someone is suspicious, abusive, threatening, impersonating another person, or pressuring you.
